Jennifer Monahan DeMella, PsyD

Dr. DeMella is a pediatric clinical psychologist who specializes in the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays. Focusing on a child's unique profile of strengths and challenges, Dr. DeMella collaborates with parents, schools, educators, and health providers in order to develop practical strategies for improved functioning in school and home environments and support a child's development of social skills and emotional regulation.

She graduated from APA-accredited Antioch University Seattle with her doctorate in clinical psychology. She completed an APA-accredited internship in at HealthPoint, a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), the highest level designated by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). She completed her post-doctoral work in neurodevelopmental psychology at LightHeart Psychological Associates. These experiences have informed Dr. DeMella’s treatment recommendations to ensure that all aspects of a child’s life - academic, therapeutic, extracurricular, and familial and peer relationships - are incorporated. Dr. DeMella is a Washington state ‘Center of Excellence’ for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. DeMella has trained under Jennifer Hartzell, PhD, ABPP-CN, board certified neuropsychologist, Mike Kippes, PhD, Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, and Michael Ramsey, DO, MS, Board certified in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a Washington ‘Center of Excellence’ for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
